My journey in this career started the same year that the first Macintosh Computer was introduced. And here I am all these many operating systems later still doing what I love with my trusty Mac. For me, it’s always been about coming up with the idea, either on my own, or collaborating with a good writer. Then seeing that idea crafted and honed into its clearest form of communication. Whether it’s using impactful photography, a simple illustration, utilizing white space with an elegant font, collage, texture, scale or even an unexpected color pallet, it’s always about the idea and what it wants to say.
Along the way, I have had the privilege to work with some great people and have forged lasting relationships. Most of my business has been built on word of mouth and referrals. My work ethic instilled in me by my hard-working parents continues to serve me well. I always make sure that after a project is completed, the client feels that they got their money’s worth and more importantly are happy with the creative results.
I’ve dedicated myself to mom-and-pop shops and huge fortune 500 companies. I’ve art directed at an agency with 188 offices in 40 countries, to a small studio that I had to lock up at night. Produced consumer advertising as well as business to business. Healthcare and lawn care. Nonprofits and for profits. Had the fortune to bring brands to life and share in their success. Delivered under impossible deadlines and crafted headlines. Launched creative campaigns with tons of deliverables. Won clients. Won awards. Had big budgets to work with, to projects with budgets so small they were almost invisible. I’ve even done work for free just because it was for a good cause. And I approach every one of them, with same dedication and level of professionalism.
I consider myself a fortunate creative. The ideas continue to flow freely, and I still feel the same rush and drive when I dive into a new project or solving a creative problem. Every day is an opportunity to create something new and unexpected and have fun doing it. Let’s get started.
